Buck and Tabitha

We first met Buck and Tabitha last summer for a family session.  The sun was hot on our shoulders as we played lakeside- picking wildflowers, skipping rocks,  and chasing after their toddler son.  We made it through almost the entire session before he ran headlong into the lake, soaked from toes to top.  We climbed into our cars with dusty feet and 500 mosquito bites, cheeks tight from laughing.  This kind of family is the reason we love our jobs.  They are easy-going and fun, they love each other fiercely and aren’t afraid to show it.

Their wedding day felt exactly the same to us.  We showed up to the Anchorage Zoo greenhouse, sunlight spilling into every corner, lush green climbing every wall.   They said their vows in front of only a few friends and family, their children watching steady at their feet.   Their words reaffirmed and assured, the promise of a life spent loving each other winding around them.  It was beautiful in every way.
